Korean drama is life.

Korean dramas are really popular right now. Many are fangirling over Song Joong Ki, Park Bo Gum, Lee Min Ho, Lee Jong Suk, and more good looking Korean celebrities that you can think of.

Whenever I watch K-dramas online, I usually see comments like “Oppa! I have an exam tomorrow, but I am here watching you.” Others say “I have class at 7 a.m. and it is now 3 a.m., staying up all night just to watch (insert K-drama title).” Some may say,¬†“This is the reason why I am still single. My standards are way too high,¬†because of Oppa!”¬†Or if you are watching an ongoing drama and you were not able to stop yourself from the temptation of click that Episode 1 and 2 button, you might say “A week of torture for the next episode.” Finally, if a drama ends, fans would go “My Thursdays and Fridays won’t be the same again (crying emoji).”¬†These are just a few of the examples that you may experience or encounter when you are into K-dramas.

“Once you enter, you can never leave,” is what we K-drama fans say to people who are wishing to ruin their lives (in a positive way? Hahaha) and give up social life and sleep. Imagine, you look forward to something every week, or if you have lots of friends who has the same interest you can’t wait to fangirl with them, hate on the girl who is flirting with the main Oppa or just simply bash the writer Unnie for rushing the drama and leaving out some characters.

Also, that “just one more episode and I’ll go to bed” is a BIG JOKE! I always say this to myself and end up finishing 2 more episodes, plus staring at the ceiling for another 30 minutes just to sink in those¬†scenes and ask “WHY IS THERE NO PREVIEW?!”¬†Patience is a virtue, honey.

Of course, we international fans, are really thankful that subbers exist. SUBTITLE¬†IS LIFE. But if you are brave enough to risk everything and confuse yourself with what’s happening… you can watch it RAW and re-watch it after the subtitled episode is out. Again,¬†Patience is a virtue.

Here’s to more K-dramas and bigger eye bags! Cheers!
